Welcome to the Internal Medicine & Pediatrics residency program website. Our program is a wonderful balance of two excellent departments. The Department of Pediatrics is #3 in the nation in NIH research funds and provides outstanding clinical training at John Hopkins All Children's Hospital; a dedicated children's hospital and regional referral center. Favorite Residency Memory: I would say our program's annual med-peds graduation + intern welcome picnic is one of my favorite memories from residency thus far. Between celebrating the graduating residents, welcoming the new interns, and reconnecting with UMN med-peds alumni, the event always reminds me of how lucky I am to be a part of this incredible med-peds family here in the Twin Cities. Med/Peds residency education is targeted to teach the delivery of superior medical care to children and adults in an inpatient and outpatient setting. Educating residents in a comprehensive care model is our ultimate goal: to prepare our graduates to practice primary care in a hospital setting or a sub specialty career with a solid base of knowledge.
